Sometimes You Just Have To Make Things Up

I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what to put in the blank blocks of this "nautical" style quilt. It's for a man, so I can't get to frilly. I didn't like any of the patterns I saw on-line with a nautical theme. So I made this thing up. First I drew lines and a circle. Then I filled it in with this, pictured below. I came up with my version of a Mariners Compass. I hope they like it! I'll make sure they know it's a one-of-a-kind design. I found it somewhere deep inside my little brain!
Now back to work. I've got tons more quilting to do!

wow Vivian - I LOVE the pattern, I love the colors and the quilting is spectacular. This could definately be a masculine quilt, but it is so light and breezy. I typically don't like red white and blue quilts -- but this is a stunner. What an inspiration.
