Check out this beauty I quilted last week. It's a quilt for a lady's niece who just graduated from nursing school. Isn't it the perfect quilt for a nurse? I think I saw this nurse the last time I was in the hospital! Ok, maybe not. Or perhaps I was 'under the influence!'
Do you remember the days when nurses wore hats? We had a school nurse that looked like this one...
Speaking of aches and pains...
I finally took a break from quilting and went to the movies with my family last Sat. night. We saw "Batman: The Dark Knight." I was so tense throughout the whole movie and now my joints are sore! I had my hands covering my eyes most of the time. What an intense film! I'm sure most of you have seen it. Daughter #2 insisted we go see it at a theater. She said it wouldn't be nearly as intense if we were to wait to see in on DVD. That movie has been in theaters for a few months now, and the theater was still pretty packed! And people applauded afterwards. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker was awesome. I give the film 2 thumbs up--at least the parts I could see when my hands were covering my eyes!

ooooooo lucky niece getting a quilt from her auntie...
I gather that you are not crazy about those kinds of movies? Probably just satisfying the family hey?... 8-)
I hope your tense knots are gone so you can relax while you quilt! 8-)
Happy stitchings!
I agree that the Dark Knight is one intense movie. I'm glad my husband and I saw it in the theaters. It took us a couple of months. We actually saw it at a theater when we were out in L.A. for SMeyer's book signing and concert for Breaking Dawn at UCLA. We were so glad we did!
The quilt is cute!
And BATMAN was fantastic. It came out during the summer while my family was on vacation. I wasn't able to go with them so I stayed home alone. I intentionally did NOT see that film until they returned. I knew I would get the heeby jeebies if I saw it then went home to an empty house. :o)
