Thanks For The Nomination!

I've been nominated for the "Kreativ Blogger Award" by my blogging friend, Summerset Banks. (don't you love her name?) I first heard the name Summerset Banks a number of years ago at the Road to California Quilt show, where she won a ribbon for her beautiful garment--American Beauty. There was a crowd around the garment, so I had to check out what all the buzz was about. There, I saw the most beautiful dress and coat I had ever seen! It won a first place ribbon. One day while surfing blogs, I happened upon Summerset's blog.

Following her blog, you will be inspired. She makes the most beautiful clothing--vintage and modern. She takes you on a step by step tour of the process too. You will be in awe. In fact, she has inspired one of my New Year's resolutions, to get back to garment sewing. (of course I won't be making anything like she does...but just to return to sewing something other than quilts will be a treat now and then!) Thanks Summerset! You are truly an artist!

Rules:
1. Copy the award to your site.
2. Link to the person from whom you received the award.
3. Nominate 7 other bloggers.
4. Link to those on your blog.
5. Leave a message on the blogs you nominate.

So, to honor the rules, I've nominated the blogs below.

Material Mary, a wonderful quilter...she even has a shop, too!

A Quilting Life, Sherri is always working on lovely quilts. We found out we have a friend in common, too.

Sarah Looking In, another talented quilter. She also shares fun stories too.

Learning By Heart, Evaly, a talented family & wedding photographer. I knew her when she was teenager. (am I that old?)

Sher-ing Time, a talented quilter who enjoys traveling. I love reading about her adventures.

Thea Quilts, Dee is an awesome quilter. I love seeing what project she's working on next.

Field Trips in Fiber, If you don't already follow Vicki's blog, you should! She takes you on a blog "field trip" every now and then. Super fun! And she's an amazing fiber artist. I love watching her projects.

So there you have it. That should keep you very busy for awhile.

Now back to work, Vivian!

(Coming soon! An awesome Amy Bradley quilt!)
