Angels

Yesterday I had angels on my mind...much like I did when I machine quilted this darling angel quilt.
"I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up." Doctrine and Covenants 84:88

"Behold, this is pleasing unto your Lord, and the angels rejoice over you." Doctrine and Covenants 88:2
Why did I think of angels yesterday?...because there was a strong earthquake in Samoa. I got a phone call yesterday afternoon from a lady from my church telling me to turn on the news immediately. After the strong earthquake there was tsunami watch in effect in Hawaii, Australia and New Zealand. Of course I was glued to the news for the rest of the day!
In case you weren't aware, my son is currently serving a two-year mission for the LDS Church in Auckland, New Zealand. Right now he is in a city called Tauranga, on the north side of the north island. As it turned out, there was a tsunami that came on shore just 3 hours east of my son's city. But now damage was reported. Thank God for GoogleNews! I was able to monitor the news from New Zealand all day long. I'm sure my son is safe and sound, but he was definitely on my mind, as you can imagine. I pray for him and all those in the Pacific South region. I know he's being watch over by angels.
Now back to work, Vivian....Breath a little easier today.

Thinking of you, your son and all others who have been suffering through this.

I'm so glad your son is alright. That quilt is very lovely, as are your quotes.

I read on the Missionary Mom's that the Mission President's reported all the missionary's were safe and accounted for. We are praying for the families who lost love ones. The quilt is lovely.

So happy to hear all is well in New Zealand. I can't even imagine how you must have been feeling. It's so wonderful that we have technology to get news fast!
