I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what to put in the blank blocks of this "nautical" style quilt. It's for a man, so I can't get to frilly. I didn't like any of the patterns I saw on-line with a nautical theme. So I made this thing up. First I drew lines and a circle.
Then I filled it in with this, pictured below. I came up with my version of a Mariners Compass. I hope they like it! I'll make sure they know it's a one-of-a-kind design. I found it somewhere deep inside my little brain!

Now back to work. I've got tons more quilting to do!

Very cool!!
ReplyDeleteI like it alot! Manly and nautical at the same time.

That is GORGEOUS!!!
ReplyDeletewow Vivian - I LOVE the pattern, I love the colors and the quilting is spectacular. This could definately be a masculine quilt, but it is so light and breezy. I typically don't like red white and blue quilts -- but this is a stunner. What an inspiration.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful Vivian! You always do such a fantastic job!
