As It Happens....The Grand Finale

The "Heather Bailey Quilt" is finally finished and on it's way to Heather!
(Follow it's progress here: Part One ~ Part Two)
Let's look at some "before" and "after" shots:

This is what the quilt looked like when I first got it...
This is what it looks like now...
Here it is before I quilted it... Here's what it looks like now...
Now if you follow my blog, you'll know I've met some famous people in my life. (Daughter #2 has met more than I have.) Meeting Heather Bailey was one of those famous people! Famous to me! It was such a thrill to meet her! On the day I met her, I came home and told my husband, "You don't understand! It's Heather Bailey!" He asked, "Who?" He had no idea who she was. Such a talented lady. It was an honor and privilege to work on her quilt. Thanks Heather! (and thanks Gina for introducing me to her!) Here we are pictured together at Gina's shop, Cranberry Quiltworks, with Threaded Pear patterns on the wall behind us...Left: Gina Halladay, Center: Heather Bailey, and Right: "Star Struck Vivian Love!"And thank you blogging friends, for your nice comments and kind emails. Thanks for letting me share what I do with you! Come back and visit soon! What will Vivian's next adventure be?

It is just BEAUTIFUL! Makes me want to be creative.

Sorry I've been MIA for a while. I need to catch up on your goings on. Also, I just realized I've not returned an e-mail to you. I am traveling much of July and August and it looks like I'll be out of town those weeks you mentioned. Things are a bit up in the air right now, but I'd hate for you to make plans and then have me gone. Maybe another time. I'd love to get together and catch up. Love ya!

Amazing!! Absolutely gorgeous. I am an extreme amateur, but I love Heather Bailey's fabric and have played on my SIL's long arm machine and had a blast. You did a fabulous job here!!
