Seen In A Different Light

Which light do you think is better? This is the quilt I finished today. I took some shots of it before it left my studio. I loved working on it. Beautiful fabrics! This first shot was taken with flash: This is the same quilt...obviously...but without flash. I just opened the drapes of my studio and let the natural light of the afternoon come in.
Here's another shot, with flash:
And here it is without flash:
What do you think of this one? It's with natural light, no flash. I think it came out best.
Speaking of a different light...
The other night my BabyBoy took these pictures of the sunflowers growing in our vegetable garden. I had taken pictures of them during the afternoon, but look how great they look at night!
And speaking of a different light, one more time! The first time I had seen the late actor Heath Ledger was in the movie, "Ten Things I Hate About You." (go rent it sometime!) Below is a picture of my favorite scene.
And now you'll see him different light in the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight. Daughter #2 wrote an excellent review of the film, which she and her Sweetheart saw last night at midnight. Read her review here: The Dark Knight. I'm going to try and see it next week...maybe the lines won't be as long.
And finally, keeping up with my lighting theme...What's this? Is it just bad lighting?
I would like to give Madonna & Britney the phone number of my hairdresser! Would you ever leave the house looking like this? Can't they afford to keep their hair looking nice? Perhaps they don't look in the mirror. I don't get it. Madonna's roots are to dye for!
Have a good weekend, blogging friends!

I know nothing about photography, but the photos taken without a flash definitely show up the quilting a lot better. Gorgeous work BTW!

The quilt looks fabulous! I always take photos of finished quilts with just the afternoon light and no flash. It really brings out the definition the stitches give.
