Keeping it simple.

I must admit, I enjoy a simple quilt from time to time. Here's one for you.
I did a freehand floral design I really enjoy. It's one that I teach in my freemotion quilting classes. Years ago when I followed pantograph patterns for quilting, I loved a design called "floral meander." I did it so much, one day I decided to freehand one similar and this is what I came up with.
It's quick and easy and doesn't require a lot of thinking. I think it looks great on this simple little quilt.
And speaking of simple...What could be more simple than this?
Now many years ago, I was trying to be Martha Stewart and I would have made this loaf of bread from scratch. I would knead the dough and make lovely loaves of white bread. Then I got a bread machine and made bread that way. That was ok, but I got too busy for even that!
This is how I make bread now...
That's right! I thaw out a loaf of Bridgford Ready-Dough. It comes 3 loaves to a package and it's yummy and super simple.
Now, don't get me wrong. I can appreciate a good loaf of homemade bread from scratch. But sometimes, you do what you gotta do!
Tomorrow I am in charge of bringing pies to our friends' home for Thanksgiving Dinner. Did I make them like Martha Stewart? No, I stood in line at Marie Callender's and let her bake them for me! How's that for simple?
HAPPY THANKSGIVING, BLOGGING FRIENDS!

It works for me. I kept Thanksgiving very simple this year, and it was still yummy! Simple is good!
